With Mark DeRosa now in Cleveland, Fontenot will likely compete with Aaron Miles for the starting second base job.

Jason Giambi (1B)  OAK
Giambi has agreed to one-year, $4.5 million contract with Oakland, the New York Daily News reports. It includes a team option for 2010 at $5 million with a $1 million buyout. The deal is pending a physical on Wednesday.

Jerry Hairston Jr. (OF)  CIN
Hairston agreed to a one-year, $2 million contract with the Reds, FoxSports.com reports.

Tyler Walker (P)  SEA
Walker signed with the Mariners on Tuesday, the Seattle Times reports.

Marcus Giles (2B)  PHI
Giles signed a one-year, $600,000 minor-league deal with Philadephia, the Denver Post reports.
